Job Summary
Responsible for council advisement and chapter and student leadership development. Serves as primary point of contact for program implementation and operational affairs. Provides assistance to students through collaboration with stakeholders, chapter advisors, alumni organizations, international organizations and student advocates.

1. Advises and supports the Greek Community by serving as primary advisor to at least one council

2. Collaborates and partners with Greek organization advisors, headquarters, alumni and other stakeholders

3. Oversees the coordination of membership recruitment, bid and intake processes and maintains a presence at recruitment events

4. Maintains presence at all formal recruitment events and activities

5. Works with organizations and the associated headquarters to create, maintain and disseminate accurate records of membership, recruitment, retention, academics, philanthropic and community service participation

6. Develops and manages budgets related to daily operations for the Greek Community and specific councils

7. Develops and communicates marketing and public relations strategy

8. Develops and provides programming and educational workshops pertinent and relevant to the growth and development of the fraternity and sorority community

9. Assists staff members with coordinating major campus events and/or activities, coordinates room/location reservations

10. Reviews and maintains accurate assessment records related to all program events

11. Provides direction, support, leadership and guidance to groups interested in Greek expansion or extension process throughout project

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

One (1) year of experience related to position, including graduate assistantships

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Experience in a student activities office, Greek leadership program or related field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Able to serves as the department liaison to Housing and Residence Life, University Police, etc.

  • Able to handle multiple projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, technology, organization, communication, and presentation skills

  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)

  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
