Job Details:Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the position of Math Tutor in the Mathematics Learning Center, part of the Coastal Student Success Center.
Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Math Education or related field, and experience in math tutoring and/or teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in Math Education or related field. Experience in tutoring and/or teaching College Algebra, College Trigonometry, Calculus I, and Statistics in a Math Center setting.
The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and knowledge of effective tutoring techniques. Knowledge of and experience with college level math courses is preferred. Sufficient technology skills to adapt to changing methods (e.g., video calling) of delivering tutoring assistance are also desired.
Working hours will be within the timeframe of 9:30am – 8:00pm, and can range from 10 – 20 hours per week, based on needs of the department and employee’s availability.
