Description

The Department of Economics at Smith College invites applications for two, two-year positions at the rank of visiting assistant professor to begin July 1, 2021.  Teaching responsibilities for these positions will be for five courses per year at the undergraduate level and will regularly include introductory macroeconomics and a selection of elective courses.  We have a specific need for an elective course on environmental economics.  Other electives of interest include (but are not limited to) international trade, money and banking, time series econometrics, behavioral economics, development economics, and economic history, and we are open to a wide range of topics depending on the candidate’s field of specialization.  Ph.D. in Economics or a relevant field is expected by the time of appointment.
