The Department of Psychology at Butler University invites applications for a one-year non-tenure track Instructor position beginning August, 2021. We seek a colleague who is committed to exemplary teaching and collaborative research with undergraduate students and who will be able to support the building of inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student population The successful applicant will be able to teach sections of Social Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics I and Psychological Inquiry (our introductory psychology course). Ability to teach Human Sexuality, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or Biopsychology will further distinguish applicants. Standard teaching load is 4 classes per semester, but 1 class per year may be reassigned if the applicant involves our students in high quality independent research. Position requires a Ph.D. in psychology at time of appointment, although qualified ABD individuals will be considered. The successful applicant will be broadly trained in psychology and committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion through their teaching and research.
