- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- High degree of autonomy, strong initiative, self-guided and reflective
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate skills with social media and be responsible for updating media content
- Prepare market materials such as newsletters and brochures
- Prepare materials/handouts for presentations at seminars, conferences and workshops
- Demonstrate knowledge of Windows/Office suite of software products and
- Learn new software and programs
- Experience in working with college students, particularly first and second years.
- Experience with planning and executing events within limited budget.
- Experience in working with social media, graphic art platforms (like Canva), web design
- Experience with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Qualtrics (for data collection)
- Customer Service:
- Answer main telephoneAnswer student questions and direct them to the appropriate services Manage laptop and textbook check-out/inventory Maintain paper and office supplies Collaborate with others to support student needs Manage email communication for FYE, JJSP, etc. Use EAB Navigate to support student success
- Update webpage Create flyers Engage social media as needed
- Coordinate and manage events/programming at ASC and FYE which include but not limited to: Jaguar Jumpstart Summer Program, Convocation, and INQR 1000 Courses Reserve rooms and manage conference room reservations Upload events and student information in Presence
- Organization of supplies with the inventory controlProvide support to student staff (Mentors, Guides and Graduate Assistants)
