Job Summary:

Student Associate position(s) will provide customer service support on behalf of One Stop Services. The One Stop provides essential information, and provides problem resolution to students, parents/families, and the broader university community in the areas of registration, financial aid, billing, and payment. The position will allow students to gain applicable experience in customer service and office applications for resume building. This position is focused on delivering high-quality service to both internal and external customers. Students will be expected to work a minimal number of hours during the academic year as well as summer.

Essential Duties:

This position requires a strong working knowledge of all service areas of the One Stop. Student Associates go through a comprehensive training program.
Provide excellent start-to-finish customer service.
Answer questions on the phone, by email, or in-person in the areas of registration, enrollment, financial aid, student records, billing, and payment.
Assist with on-campus outreach and initiatives.
Help assist students and parents in the One Stop lobby; assisting with self-help stations, completing transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and other applicable transactions.
Accurately enter appropriate data of customer interactions in a ticketing database recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments as well as actions taken.
Work on various tasks assigned.

Academic year - Ability to work a minimum of 10 - 12 hours per week
Summer, Holiday and break availability a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be an undergraduate student at Miami University and be enrolled with good academic standing.
Past experience in customer services/call center position is helpful.
Sensitive to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Accuracy, dependability, and confidentiality are critical.
Ability to meet expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic, customer-oriented environment.
Be able to work independently, possess good organization skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
