Executive Assistant to the President

Coastal Carolina University is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Assistant to the President (Administrative Coordinator II). The position, reporting to the President, directs administrative and operational activities within the Office of the President.

Duties include but, are not limited to: coordinating general administrative functions and managing budgets for the Office of the President; monitoring budget compliance and consulting with various areas regarding the availability of funds and preparation of funding requests; serving as procurement card liaison; primary purchaser for the Office of the President; coordinating administrative/operational functions in the Office of the President (calendar management, travel, appointment screening, mail distribution, etc.), developing correspondence, reports and presentation materials for the President; developing and maintaining donor relation processes for the Office of the President; interpreting University policies/procedures in order to serve as a resource for the various areas of University; serving as principal liaison between the President and other administrators; investigating, troubleshooting and resolving complex matters that arise in a timely manner; communicating with high-level external constituencies and organizations on behalf of the President, in collaboration with the Chief of Staff; conducting complex special assignments for the Office of the President; and performing other duties as assigned by the President.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and extensive administrative experience at the executive level are required. Additionally, a successful candidate should possess: knowledge of principles and procedures of office administration; proficiency in office technology operation to include: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom and other web-based applications; excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; the ability to comprehend and implement complex oral and written instruction(s); and the ability to handle highly confidential information, multiple tasks and regular interruptions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree; extensive administrative experience at the executive level are required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in office technology operation, software applications (word, excel, access, power point), meeting logistics and itinerary management is required. The ability to communicate and disseminate information orally and in writing in a clear and articulate manner. Demonstrated experience in maintaining confidential information. Exceptional organizational skills, strong critical thinking skills, the capacity to identify and address matters critically and timely and strong interpersonal skills are also necessary.
