Responsibilities

The Department of Mass Communications invites applications for an instructor/assistant professor for the Fall 2021 semester. The selected individual will teach web design, television and radio production courses. The selected individual should have basic knowledge of Media, Digital Media/Convergence, and production courses and be able to support the overall mass communications curriculum.  The candidate will supervise and support department production projects, facilities and students. He/she will participate in advising, research and service activities as required and perform any other duties within the scope of the position.

 

Qualifications

MA/MS in Mass Communications with a minimum of 18 documented hours in Mass Communications at the graduate level required.  PHD/ADB preferred; Expertise in the area of Adobe Creative Suites Software, Web Design, Social Media, Video and Audio Editing Software, such as Avid Editing, ProTools and Final Cut Pro, required. Basic knowledge of Multi-Media & Convergence Equipment expected.

 

SALARY:  Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
