Primary Function of Organizational Unit:

ECU Physicians is the multispecialty group practice of the Brody School of Medicine. ECU Physicians has over 430 providers and sees over 700,000 patient visits per year. ECU Physicians is participating member in the Coastal Plains Network Accountable Care Organization and works closely with Vidant Health to improve the health of the citizens of Eastern North Carolina.
This complex organization faces increasing challenges to provide assigned nurses to serve as Health Coaches to assist patients with chronic disease management. The importance of chronic disease management is to not only improve the quality of our patient’s lives but to also assist in meeting required quality measures.
The positions will be assigned to primary care clinics but will be centrally managed. The positions will be hired by ECU Physicians but will have joint reporting relationship with Director of Nursing for ECU Physicians and HealthAccess, Manager of Case Management. Vidant Medical Group through Health Access has had robust Health Coach Program and will assist in training and oversight through a management contract.

Job Duties :

Prepare daily for the COVID testing center by review of orders, confirmation of test ordered, call patients with results and provided education. Serve as lead RN in COVID Testing Center reviewing records, confirming orders and performing point of care testing.

Part time and Full time positions may be available.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Graduation from state-accredited school of registered nursing and two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in the assigned specialty area. Must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
