ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Provides instruction for lecture and laboratory of assigned courses
• Maintains contemporary expertise in the disciplines of Chemistry
• Prepares for assigned classes, including: developing course syllabi; organizing and maintaining classroom(s) to facilitate learning; and promote optimum student success
• Promote continuous quality improvement of curriculum and program operations to increase program effectiveness
• Work cooperatively with current Southwest Tech staff & a variety of business customers to customize training
• Continuously evaluate student progress providing informative and summative feedback through formal and informal means
• Provide applications-based learning activities that accommodate a variety of learning styles
• Serves and participates in institutional events and committee work
• Assist with recruitment and retention of students
• Gains and maintains required professional certifications and licensure, including requirements related to the Wisconsin Technical College System and institutional accrediting agencies
• Monitors training areas to ensure compliance with safety requirements
• Attends required trainings and laboratory courses
• Other duties as assigned


TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Physics, or Chemical Engineering or holds a Master’s degree in a closely related field, and has completed at least 18 graduate credits in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Physics, or Chemical Engineering is required
• Completion of, or willingness to complete at least 9 graduate credits in Biology, Life Science or Physiology is preferred
• One year as a post-secondary classroom instructor preferred
• Experience with online education and other alternative delivery methods preferred.
• Evidence of contemporary practice and continued professional development
• The candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high academic standards while encouraging and supporting students with diverse backgrounds, interests, and aptitudes.

SALARY RANGE
Masters Adjunct Annual Salary Range: $44,885 - $54,697
(Salary calculation based on education, experience and semester load percentage)

The Review Committee will screen applicants and contact them for an interview. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not assure the candidate an interview. Final candidate’s employment offer will be subject to completion of Wisconsin Caregivers Background Check and pre-employment drug screening.
