The UofSC College of Pharmacy (UofSC-COP) is seeking an experienced scientist and manager to initiate a vibrant research program between the UofSC-COP and our college partner, Nephron Pharmaceuticals. Nephron Pharmaceuticals is a leading manufacturer of generic respiratory and 503B outsourcing medications. This individual will be responsible for establishing a vibrant research program supporting and expanding initiatives with Nephron Pharmaceuticals that includes the isolation and structural elucidation of biologically active natural products. Additionally, the successful candidate will spend approximately 40% of their time teaching within the graduate and professional programs in the area of medicinal chemistry and participating in department, college, and university-level committee service as assigned.

Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences with an emphasis in natural products; prior experience working in a core research facility or research and development within the pharmaceutical industry preferred; prior experience teaching within a professional and/or graduate program preferred.Desired Start Date:
