Advertised Job Summary:

The Center Assistant will help the director, faculty, and staff in daily operations of an NIH-supported research center. The role involves assisting with center events and meetings, involvement with center scientists and initiatives, serving as a communications liaison for faculty, staff, students, and center visitors, and assisting center administrators with data tracking and reporting, logistics, and facilities coordination. Some of the work will include detailed searches and evaluation of scientific articles, welcoming visiting scientists and community members to the center, managing in-person and virtual presentations and meetings, and assisting with data compilation and research-related activities. The Center Assistant will receive guidance from the center leadership and administrators, but must complete tasks independently and with discretion.


A bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, or a related field. Preferred: ability to analyze scientific articles in the behavioral and social sciences; poised and at ease in communicating with a wide variety of individuals.
