Advertised Job Summary:

The University of South Carolina (UofSC) College of Pharmacy (CoP) Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory (DGL) is currently recruiting a temporary, part time (20 hours a week as needed) candidate for the positions of Covid-19 Testing Site Coordinator. The Testing Site coordinator is a pivotal role in the success of a saliva based Covid-19 testing initiative at the UofSC campuses and other statewide testing locations. Under the Director of Operations, this position dually reports to the Testing Site Managers.

The Testing Site Coordinator may be responsible to do any of the following: help with site setup/breakdown (moving chairs, foldable tables, boxes of test tubes, laptops, power supplies, setting up signage, ensuring PPE is available, etc.), set up and troubleshoot technology (Turning on the laptop, connecting to the wireless internet or provided hotspot, and basic troubleshooting), help with the site registration process (scanning barcodes, completing registrations on the computer, direct traffic, ensure proper social distancing, cleaning the site, etc.), oversee the secure final intake of the sample by delivering samples from the test site to the transportation vehicle or laboratory, collaborate with other staff to reach maximum testing capacity and desired outcomes, ability to travel to statewide testing sites during the day (driving your own personal vehicle or driving/riding in a state provided vehicle), attend meetings via Microsoft Teams or Zoom as needed, and focus on the goal of a favorable patient testing experience.


Bachelor’s degree or equivalency
Valid SC Driver’s License
The ability to work well under pressure and make rational decisions under stressful conditions.
Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus, but is not required
Required upon hiring: Complete HIPAA training, sign the attestation form stating you understand HIPAA, and understand/uphold confidentiality
