Description
The Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT) is responsible for faculty development at Temple University and offers programs that include workshops, conferences, and symposia, as well as individual consultations and resources to support excellence in teaching. The Center advertises its services through its website, email and social media campaigns, brochures and flyers, and conference and symposia programs. The Graphic & Digital Design Specialist is responsible for managing, designing, producing, and assessing the impact of CAT’s social media platforms, website, marketing campaigns, and other digital and print materials as part of an integrated marketing strategy designed to increase the visibility of the mission and programs of the CAT. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations, the Graphic & Digital Design Specialist will ensure the consistency, accuracy, and integrity of brand and editorial standards in all communications.

This part-time role requires someone who is results-driven, creative and extremely detail-oriented. Must be fluent in the use of various social media and email automation platforms, and the Adobe creative suite. Preferred experience with Drupal or Wordpress websites. Ability to proofread and copy edit. Must have the ability to work independently within a team-based dynamic. Demonstrated ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately and accept supervisory input and constructive criticism. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least two years of directly related design or communications experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

* Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize well and focus on completion of tasks and objectives.

*High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

*Ability to think and act both analytically and strategically

*Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced, highly-interactive, collaborative, and dynamic organization.

*Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with administrators requiring excellent listening skills.

*Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

*Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, website management, web-based communication methods and tools.

*Demonstrated competence with and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite.

*Proven ability to edit and proofread documents.

Preferred:

*Experience utilizing tools such as Google Analytics Experience with Drupal or Wordpress website content management system is strongly preferred.

Please note this position will temporarily work remotely, the duration of remote work will be at the discretion of Temple University and the department.
