Department Information The SCHOOL OF CHEMISTRY & BIOCHEMISTRY of the GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY invites applications for its Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. The school has vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs, with over 300 undergraduate majors and 200 graduate students, and an extensive research portfolio. Its faculty, staff, and students participate in a range of dynamic and collaborative research programs and enjoy modern facilities located on a pleasant urban campus in the City of Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Summary

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will work in the fields of Bio-Mass Spectrometry (MS) and MS-based proteomics. He/She will be responsible for developing novel MS-based chemical and enzymatic methods to study proteins and protein post-translational modifications, especially glycosylation, and applying them for biomedical studies. He/She will design experiments, analyze proteins and glycoproteins using LC-MS, perform data-analysis, and write manuscripts. Required Qualifications

1. A Doctoral degree

Preferred Qualifications

1. A strong background in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry or biochemistry, or experience with HPLC, MS and large-scale protein analysis.
