Job Summary

Perform accounting functions using established processes, including but not limited to the reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts. Typical assignments consist
of accounts such as inventory, receivables, and liability accounts.
Create, review & enter journal entries, including but not limited to revenue transfers, expenditure transfers, reclassifications, campus charges, daily banking, and Banner
transactions. Such duties include verifying proper approval has been obtained from impacted departments.
Perform daily cash reporting.
Coordinate daily accounts payable check printing process.

Required Qualifications

Completed a minimum of 60 hours with a GPA of 3.2 or higher and declared an Accounting major.
Completed Principles of Accounting I and II.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to multi-task and work as a team player.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

The student will be able to apply accounting concepts to daily transactions and journals. They will also be exposed to other areas of Business and Financial Services through shadowing and periodic interactions.

Conditions of Employment

Ability to move about the office freely, communicate without restriction, and lift heavy boxes.
The job requires 15-20 hours per week determined by the Accounting Manager.
