UWG Commitment Statement

The lab technician will often stand for many hours and will need to lift up to 25 pounds. Technicians will be required to safely handle hazardous chemicals.
Required QualificationsMust be able to lift 25 pounds. Must be able to perform precise work. Must be a major in the Geosciences.
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and have a minimum 2.0 GPA.
Preferred QualificationsInterest in water quality
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesStudent will be trained in lab methods. Applicant needs to have an attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Other InformationStudent will be trained in USEPA methods for water quality analyses. Student will learn how a water quality lab works.

The University of West Georgia is a leading residential, doctoral comprehensive university that offers a broad undergraduate and graduate curriculum based on a liberal arts foundation.
