The Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball position is a fulltime, annually appointed position reporting directly to and assisting the Head Coach in all facets of a Division I basketball program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of recruiting student-athletes to the UA Women’s Basketball program, including evaluating, making notes and communicating with recruits
  • Provide academic assistance and monitoring
  • Scouting and film editing
  • Coordinate with NCAA compliance liaison
  • Assist with floor responsibilities during practice
  • Maintain knowledge of and abide by conference, UA and NCAA rules
  • Assist in arranging campus and home visits
  • Assist in arranging housing for student-athletes
  • Act as a public relations contact as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience coaching at the college level
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with and knowledge of NCAA regulations
