The University of Kentucky College of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, invites applications for one full-time (9-month academic year assignment) tenure track associate professor level position in structural engineering. Candidates must hold an ABET accredited degree and a doctorate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have a strong background in reinforced concrete design and structural analysis. The department is especially interested in candidates whose research connects across areas related to sustainable infrastructure and materials, and humanitarian engineering. Relevant industry experience, including government and/or private transportation agencies, is desirable.
Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels; developing a strong, externally funded research program; and providing service to the university, the state, and the engineering profession.
