General Description:

The Annual Giving and Alumni Coordinator is responsible for coordinating recurring annual fundraising programs, activities related to the OCCC Association of Alumni and Friends, social media and events for the Office of Development/Foundation for OCCC

Minimum Education/Experience:

Bachelors Degree

2 years of full time work experience in annual gift fundraising, major gift fundraising, alumni relations, grant writing or special events

Applicant required to attach transcript conferring the required degree.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of fundraising and alumni engagement best practices

Excellent writing and oral communication skills, including over the phone

Excellent organizational skills to coordinate multifaceted programs and events

Excellent attention to details

Comfortability in working with diverse internal and external stakeholders

Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Willingness to ask for financial contributions or sponsorships

Willingness to cold-call prospective donors

Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations

Demonstrated positive human relations skills

Ability to work with highly confidential information

Knowledge of social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Degree

Fundraising experience in higher education

Knowledge of Central Oklahoma philanthropic community

Professional fundraising certification such as CFRE.

Work Hours:

Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. Some evening and weekend hours as needed.

Job Duties (Duties Assignment Statement):

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as an integral member of the Office of Development and representative to the Foundation for OCCC to help identify, evaluate, engage and solicit prospective donors and steward donors
Develop and manage positive relationships with individuals, families, businesses and foundations to generate financial support for the Foundation for OCCC
Assist with developing strategic plans and goals for annual giving programs such as the faculty/staff campaign, Visual & Performing Arts Center sponsorships, annual fundraising event and other programs
Coordinate the details of implementing the strategic plans in annual giving and alumni programs
Serve as liaison between the Association of Alumni & Friends, its Board of Directors and the Office of Development
Engage alumni, friends, students, faculty and staff in the activities of the Association of Alumni & Friends
Maintain accurate and timely records of activities with donors and prospective donors in database
Coordinate special events such as luncheons, receptions, recognition events and fundraising events
Coordinate multi-platform communications to donors and prospective donors, including mail, email, social media and other methods to improve giving

Contribute to a safe educational & working environment.
Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC’s established safety and health procedures and practices.
Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation and shelter in place drills and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
