The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for a HR and Faculty Affairs Coordinator. This full-time position will serve as a shared resource for the School of Medicine Offices of Faculty Affairs and Human Resources. The HR and Faculty Affairs Coordinator will review and approve entries in PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system, route letters of offer and other documents for electronic signatures, and update and maintain a variety of databases and other systems.

The ideal candidate for this position will be an energetic individual who is ready to help create change and be part of a group of professionals dedicated to collaborative approaches, relationship building and positive outcomes.

This successful candidate will:

  • Review and approve a variety of entries in HCM
  • Create and run a variety of reports
  • Manage electronic signature processes including routing documents and ensuring execution
  • Communicate and provide status updates to a variety of stakeholders
  • Create transactions in HCM as necessary
  • Complete functions related to verifications of faculty appointments
  • Maintain and update listservs
  • Complete a variety of functions related to the faculty promotions process
  • Update and maintain databases and other systems
  • Act as a backup and perform payroll related duties
  • Review, process and approve incentive and on-call payments
  • Maintain accurate, timely and complete records ensuring compliance with Federal, State and University laws, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and process improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a resource on Faculty Affairs and HR policies and procedures

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for the Entry level position has been established at $45,650 - $54,000.

The salary range for the Intermediate level position has been established at $49,600 - $59,000.

The salary range for the Senior level position has been established at $53,700 - $64,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

Entry Professional

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications or related field.  
Intermediate Professional

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications or related field.  
  • One (1) year of experience performing Faculty Affairs and/or Human Resources functions
Senior Professional

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications or related field.  
  • Two (2) years of experience performing Faculty Affairs and/or Human Resources functions
Substitution: Professional level experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system
  • Experience working in an academic medical center
  • Experience utilizing and updating Smartsheet
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong technology abilities and ability to utilize and learn a variety of systems and softwares

  • Self-directed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people from all levels within an organization

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while working with sensitive information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to actively listen and share relevant information, anticipate problems, and establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Knowledge of professional standards, concepts and practices related to Human Resources
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules and regulations in order to exercise good judgement in applying them to human resources challenges
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations
