The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine (CUSDM) seeks outstanding applicants for a full-time, clinical track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry.

This clinical teaching (CT) track full-time position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor (CT) or Associate Professor (CT), depending upon candidate qualifications.

Position Emphasis:

Primary responsibilities include the following:

    Teaching dental students in courses including dental materials, treatment planning, and restorative dentistry; Directing courses in dental materials, treatment planning, case presentation, and operative dentistry; Designing, planning and implementing courses in dental materials; Supervising students and practicing dental medicine in school’s adolescent, transition, and comprehensive care clinics; mentoring students, serving on admission committees, and serving as an advisor

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

Assistant Professor:  $120,000 - $145,000

Associate Professor: $145,000 - $175,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

    Assistant Professor:A DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or foreign equivalent
  • Advanced training in dental materials or materials sciences
  • Eligibility for a Colorado dental license
  • At this rank, applicants will have some successful teaching experience and will be expected to teach and/or provide clinical care.
  • Associate Professor:A DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or foreign equivalent
  • Advanced training in dental materials or materials sciences
  • Eligibility for a Colorado dental license
  • At this rank, applicants will be well qualified to teach and/or provide clinical care with considerable demonstrated evidence of successful teaching and demonstrated leadership and service.
  • Successful candidates will have experience and demonstrate inclusivity while working in a diverse academic, research and clinical community.  Demonstrated leadership, organizational and communication skills are required.Preferred Qualifications:

      The preferred candidate will have academic experience and a demonstrated commitment to working in a collaborative and multi-cultural environment; and must be committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.
