Job Description:

The Sarah Lawrence College Dance/Movement Therapy Program is seeking Guest Faculty to teach semester-long courses in Movement Observation and Theory and Practice over the 2021-2022 academic year. Candidates interested in teaching one or more courses are encouraged to apply.
The Dance/Movement Therapy Program is committed to providing mentoring to support racial and cultural diversity within the program. We encourage candidates who may otherwise meet the professional qualifications but lack teaching experience to apply with an understanding that teaching support will be provided. Required Qualifications:

Candidates should have a minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience in dance/movement therapy or the part-time equivalent and the BC-DMT credential.
Candidates for the Movement Observation class should also have documented evidence of significant additional and advanced movement observation training (not Laban) or certification in a movement analysis system.

Preferred Qualifications:

Application materials must include a cover letter, CV, a brief statement about the role of social justice in the classroom, and names and contact information for three references.

Optional Documents:
A sample syllabus or outline of proposed course or one previously taught.
