Assistant Professor of Studio ArtWells College, Aurora, NY beginning August 16, 2021. We seek a colleague experienced in a variety of media who is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion and cross-disciplinary, socially-engaged studio and undergraduate teaching practice.  The successful candidate will bring a vision for the Studio Arts program to attract and retain students interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree and building a research-based creative practice.  In addition to teaching courses in different media, the successful candidate will mentor students in research.  Applicants should demonstrate interest in interdisciplinary work; in addition to administering & developing programs in the Visual Arts, the successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in Art History, Book Arts, & Museum Studies.

Required Qualifications:

  • MFA in Studio Art
  • Experience in undergraduate teaching
  • Experience in curriculum and program development
  • Ability to mentor upper-level student work in a range of media
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
