Description:

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track position at the level of Research Assistant Professor. This is a time-limited, 12-month non-tenure-accruing faculty position available at the Warren Nelms Institute for the Connected World in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering and the University of Florida.

The ECE Department is a vibrant, multidisciplinary, and highly collaborative environment. The department’s external research expenditures are at a record high, $21M last year using the ASEE definition. The ECE graduate program ranks #17 among public ECE departments (#27 overall) according to U.S. News and World Report.


Qualifications:

The desired candidate must possess some project management skills, at least five years of experience in the desired (or closely related) area, along with significant experience developing new programs and working with, mentoring, and supervising students as well as being involved in research for or overseeing sponsored research projects. The candidate is also expected to co-supervise Ph.D. students in the laboratory as well as develop and write new research proposals to obtain external research funding. The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university and at least two years of professional experience in the field of integrated circuit design, verification and optimization.

The anticipated start date for the position is May 31, 2021.
