Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Pulmonary seeks an administrative support assistant for an OPS full-time position. Duties to include:

• Working with the office manager, clinic coordinator, nurses and physicians to ensure availability of urgent/emergent appointments when needed and makes appointments for patients that need clinic follow up, and appointment after clinic visit if sooner than 2-3 weeks.

• Notifying and mailing out appointment notifications of changes and reminders as they occur.

• Working with the clinic coordinator to schedule ancillary tests to coordinate with clinic appointment or continuity of care when needed.

• Working with changes as necessary when clinics are cancelled, which includes bumping, changing patients appointments and notifying the Patients/family of the change.

• Scanning medical records into patient electronic medical record in EPIC.

• Assisting and serving as back-up as needed for Administrative Specialist II and Administrative Support Assistant II in the division.

• Additional clerical duties may include, but not limited to; projects, greeting and assisting visitors, answering phones or any other task as assigned by the office manager.

Expected Salary:

$12-16 per hour, commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant office experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Medical office experience.
