The Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) will work with Temple’s CFR Executive Director and other CFR team members to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward foundation and corporate prospects to secure financial support for Temple University’s funding priorities.  Responsibilities include:

Fundraising to solicit corporate and foundation support for Temple priorities as designated by University Leadership, including student support, faculty support, innovative programming, and capital improvements;

Partnering with Corporate and Foundation Relations Team to collaborate with Temple’ school and college-based Directors of Development, Deans, Center Directors, faculty, and other Temple Leadership across a range of disciplines to help them identify funding opportunities from corporate and foundation and develop well-positioned cases for support, LOIs and proposal; and help with research and grant writing;

Providing oversight of grants processing on behalf of Institutional Advancement in partnership with the Office of Sponsored Research, CFR staff, and Gift Processing;

Managing financing, create CFR budget, and acquire supplies

Managing consistent communication to CFR donors and prospects and facilitate holiday card and event mailings, and gift acknowledgment letters. Oversee annual donor scholarship reports;

Developing and overseeing grant-seeking workshop for faculty and staff;

Managing CFR’s website to include grant-making information and keep the site interactive and current so it can be used as a resource for both internal and external audiences including faculty, development staff, and prospects;

Assisting staff members with miscellaneous projects and reports including but not limited to scholarship reporting, research projects, and filing as needed

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least three years of fundraising in higher education and/or industry relations experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:

*Strong writing skills as well as an understanding of accounting and budget preparation principles and practices.

*Must demonstrate an extremely high level of professionalism, collegiality, self-motivation, organization, and familiarity with the goals and objectives of Temple University.

* This position requires a background check.

Preferred:

* Experience in Higher Education Corporate and Foundation Relations area.

*Previous development, higher education, and/or nonprofit experience.

Please note this position will temporarily work remotely, the duration of remote work will be at the discretion of Temple University and the department.
