Job Summary:

Assist in the preparation and clean-up of the chemistry labs.

Reports To:

John Kodet, Chemistry/Food Science & Nutrition Instructor

Education/Qualifications:

•Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
•Gillette College Student currently enrolled
•Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must have previously taken and successful completed a college chemistry class. Ability to follow directions and safety guidelines and familiarity with handling chemicals. Must be able perform basic algebraic calculations to perform duties.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Works in chemistry lab around chemicals. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibility/Duty:

Prepare chemical solutions and reagents as directed. Set out appropriate chemicals and equipment for lab. Clean up after lab and return materials to proper locations. Clean glassware as needed. Assist in keeping lab organized and inventory up to date.
