08-Apr-2021 Close All Job SummaryThe Temporary Vaccine Nurse role will work with a team of health care providers to conduct activities related to administering COVID 19 vaccines. This role will help the Infection Prevention nurse manage campus-wide vaccination clinics.

The Wardenburg Medical Clinic provides a wide range of health care services for students including, but not limited to: primary care for illnesses and injuries, as well as chronic conditions, physicals, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, allergy shots, vaccinations, travel health care, and concussion care. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Administer COVID vaccine to CU campus community members and maintain knowledge of all roles at the vaccine clinic including check-in, registration, observation, patient education, and emergency interventions.
What You Should Know
  • This is an on-call position and is expected to work 40 hours per week for 8-10 weeks.
What We Can Offer
  • The starting salary range for this position is $38.46 - $45.19 per hour.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • At least 3 years of professional, job-related experience.
  • Active registered nurse license from the state of Colorado.
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire.
What You Will Need
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Capacity to identify emergency situations, navigate electronic health records, and prepare and administer medications and vaccinations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Would Like You To Have
  • Experience working with electronic medical records.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
