Wichita State University 1.0 FTE, 10-month

Annual appointment, renewable for 3 years

Seeking a temporary full-time, visiting assistant teaching professor and director of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College. This position will provide leadership for and content to efforts to create a diverse and inclusive environment and global awareness in Honors including but not limited to co-curricular programming and assessment, mentorship, recruitment, campus and community outreach. Teach 4 courses each year in Honors. Teaching will be in the Cohen Honors College and may include teaching department honors courses. Coordinate Honors recruitment including recommending and implementing recruitment strategies; supervising training and assessment of student assistants and organizations who engage in direct recruitment activities. Recommend operational plans and strategies that will directly impact the achievement of overall results. Develop, foster, and maintain relationships with campus groups, local school districts, and community organizations and agencies. May include graduate student assistant supervision. Reports directly to the Dean of the Cohen Honors College. This is an annual appointment, renewable for up to 3 years depending on funding and performance.
