Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) Coordinator

Coastal Carolina University is seeking candidates for the position of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) Coordinator. The Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) Coordinator is part of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, housed in the Office of Student Life, which also includes Student Activities and Leadership and Transition Programs.

The FSL Coordinator provides oversight, direction, accountability, and leadership to key operational aspects in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life as well as the Office of Student Life. This role is a high contact, student centered position focused on supporting and developing students, advising specific Greek governing councils, fraternity/sorority chapters, leadership training, and programmatic initiatives to engage students. The Coastal Carolina Fraternity and Sorority community consists of roughly 23 fraternities and sororities with 1200 students comprising approximately 15% of the student population.

Duties include, but are not limited to: serve as the primary advisor to the College Panhellenic Council executive officers; plan/implement programs and events, administer annual budget, plan/coordinate the implementation of recruitment efforts; provide leadership and support to approximately ten (10) chapter presidents using the Fraternal Excellence Program as a guide for meetings; assist with academic achievement programs and initiatives; provide advisement, structure and support to honor societies; assist with the selection, training, supervision and evaluation of undergraduate student employees; represent the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life on university committees and on special projects; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and related experience is required. A master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, organizational leadership or an equivalent field with at least one (1) year of experience (graduate or professional) working with fraternities or sororities is preferred.
