Minimum Qualifications:

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary:

Sports Communications Assistant which will share all media relations duties for 21-sport athletic program. Work with football, men’s and women’s basketball, and special emphasis on Olympic sports to be designated by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

A bachelor’s degree with at least two years experience as student assistant and/or graduate assistant in sports information department. Also good writing skills, self-motivation, strong work ethic and experience and proficiency in layout, design, and editing publications. Proficient in graphics, publication production using indesign program, and social media.
