Position Summary

Provides direct administrative support for the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (SADAA), Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education (ADUME), and Assistant Dean for Program Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement (ADPECQI); serve as primary scheduling contact and manage the SADAA. ADUME, and ADPECQI calendars; provides support to various committees and oversees educational assignment process.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education with course work in word processing, typing, shorthand, and grammar; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in maintaining account ledgers, word processing, editing, composing correspondence, taking dictation, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, and/or presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in maintaining operational and administrative functions of an academic unit; ability to work independently; organize and multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy; work with interruptions; coordinate multiple projects and committees with deadlines; compile information and documents in order to develop presentation materials and compose correspondence; working knowledge of MSU policies and procedures; experience in course management software; knowledge of university travel and purchasing systems; excellent written and verbal communications skills; experience maintaining a presence on social media and excellent collaborative skills.
