Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking candidates for a Clinical Research Coordinator II position, which will oversee various research projects as directed by the program director for the Pediatric Residency Program and the Division Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

Responsibilities include:

Develops IRB, QIPR, and grant applications. Creates budget drafts, develops research protocols, creates surveys and assessment tools, collects and processes clinical or qualitative surveys. Writes applications for approval and maintains existing projects.

Collaborates with Hospital Medicine faculty and Pediatrics residents and fellows for research and QI needs. Assists with development of novel research questions. Responsible for data collection, organization, statistical analysis, and data review. Writes and submits posters and talks for conferences.

Writes research, QI, and case report manuscripts. Obtains patient consent when applicable.

Maintains bibliographical citation data using Zotero and prepares written summaries of the literature.

Responsible for facilitating and ensuring publications for pediatric residents and Hospital Medicine faculty. Assists with organization and formatting of documents based on journal or grant guidelines. When listed as corresponding author, responsible for journal submission and revision.

Expected Salary:

$45,000 - $53,000 annually; commensurate within this range based on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization or Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and 2 years experience.

Degree in public health or another health related field.

Strong computer, document design and project team operations skills.

Excellent written and oral communication.

Basic statistical skills.

Ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, residents, and staff at multiple levels.
