Advertised Job Summary:The Senior Diversity Recruiter plays a key role in advancing the University of South Carolina’s mission for recruiting and enrolling a diverse graduate student population. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and serving at the pleasure of the Dean of the Graduate School, this person will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to create and implement diversity recruiting strategies that yield measurable results to attract traditionally marginalized and under-represented graduate students. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in diversity recruiting and a passion for, and experience in, recruiting diverse profiles across race, ethnicity, gender, LGBTQ communities and other types of diversity. This critical role will be responsible for developing, leading, and executing an outcome-driven diversity recruiting strategy that supports the strategic mission of the University to create and maintain a diverse and inclusive campus culture. Overnight travel will be required.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 7 years related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 9 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience leading diversity recruiting in a college or university setting is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Demonstrated experience and proven success in thinking outside of the box to find and attract diverse profiles. Skilled with social media and other virtual recruitment strategies. Deep knowledge of recruiting strategies and processes.
