The Associate Director for Facilities Operations will provide effective leadership to the custodial services, warehouse and moving units that are responsible for the regular care and cleaning of approximately 2.1 million gross square feet of residence hall space with a budget of 2 million dollars on the Columbia campus of the University of South Carolina. This position will assist with managing the Operation unit and will act as the Facilities Operation leader during the Director’s absence.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):
Master’s degree and 6 years related experience; bachelor’s degree and 8 years relevant experience in business, public administration or administrative services or equivalency.
Valid driver’s license required.
Thorough knowledge of the custodial services business and warehouse/moving operations, with emphasis in safety practices as it pertains to relevant areas of employment. Knowledge of business management practices, personnel management, planning, problem solving, and conflict resolution are essential. Computer literacy.Safety Sensitive or Security Sensitive:
