Job Title: Technical Operations Project Managers

Location: Chicago, IL location.

Job Description: Oversee technology infrastructure projects for Departments. Work with external technology vendors/partners. Deliver solutions to help increase operational efficiency while creating a positive user experience. Handshake functional lead. Lead efforts to integrate processes into software platform. Lead analysis, design, implementation of regular updates and bug fixes to existing software applications and databases. Work with end users to ensure needs are met. Assist in developing short-term and long-term strategic roadmaps for service management. Operate as technical project team leader. Apply best practices and standards around software development lifecycle and project management. Work with University IS department and external vendors to implement applications and processes according to technology needs. Train technical support staff/student employees. Contribute to department reports. Recommend solutions. Mentor junior staff. Tools: MS Office, Visio, Project Management Software, Oracle 11g, PeopleSoft, .NET, Linux, Windows Client/Server systems, ASP.NET (MVC, Web API), Azure, Oracle, SQL, T-SQL, TFS, Ajax, JavaScript/JQuery/AngularJS/Knockout, CSS/Sass/Less, SQL Server/RDMS, Entity Framework, Object Oriented and Service Oriented architecture (SOAP, RESTful), Unit Testing, Automated Build Tools, Design Patterns, Agile/Scrum, UX design principles.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Developer required. Skills Required: Must have previous experience in higher education environment with Windows Client/Server systems, ASP.NET (MVC, Web API), Azure, Oracle, SQL, T-SQL, TFS, Ajax, JavaScript/JQuery/AngularJS/Knockout, CSS/Sass/Less, SQL Server/RDMS, Entity Framework, Object Oriented and Service Oriented architecture (SOAP, RESTful), Unit Testing, Automated Build Tools, Design Patterns, Agile/Scrum, UX design principles.
