Plumbing Foreman I - Fs Utility ServicesRegular Full-time, Market Range MR10This position reviews plans and assesses equipment, materials and personnel needed to complete large and/or complex plumbing and piping projects. Reviews job applications and makes recommendations on hiring new employees. Works with outside contractors to insure their work is completed in a safe, effective and timely manner. Assigns work to personnel and supervises on-going work assignments. Reports progress and problems to the General Superintendent. Maintains equipment in good safe working condition through our preventive maintenance program (PM) as defined in ARCHIBUS. Reviews employee time sheets and records data in ARCHIBUS and shall display a full working knowledge of the ARCHIBUS computer system. Assist with Employee Performance Reviews. Manage employees and supervise crews with their work assignments. Reviews schedule and assigns work requests to personnel, making sure materials and equipment are available to complete work. Review drawings to do material take offs and estimate of cost for future work/projects. Supervises work of others on their day to day work assignments. Shall actively solve technical problems. Works on other assignments as directed and have to ability to be on call 24/7 status.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Valid Tennessee Driver’s LicenseEight (8) years or more in the plumbing trade with four (4) years or more experience working as a foreman and /or supervisor. Must have basic computer skills and ability to deepen knowledge. In addition, must be experienced in all aspects of Plumbing work. Must be literate and have the ability to generate reports, plan work schedules, and order materials. Must be computer literate or be able to learn computer skills needed to perform duties; must be willing to work a flexible schedule as needed to ensure proper supervision of work during outages, repairs or installations. Must work well with others and have the ability to lead and motivate employees.
