Regular Full-Time, Market Range 04

The Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a full-time, non-exempt Office Manager in the Global Supply Chain Institute (GSCI).  Reporting to the department head, the office manager ensures successful execution of administrative tasks, coordinates department office operations, and ensures adherence to all university and department policies and procedures.  The office manager also performs and supports a wide range of administrative functions and is cross trained to back up other administrative staff.  The position primarily supports GSCI and provides backup support to the Department of Supply Chain Management (SCM) office.

Responsibilities:

    •    Support GSCI Executive Director and Forum Director and SCM DH/ADH with all administrative and clerical tasks
    •    Manage and reconcile GSCI operating and program budgets, income/expense components, and monthly reporting
    •    Review invoices for reporting and tracking of income and expenditures
    •    Process faculty and staff travel processes
    •    Serve as point person for coordination and execution of execution and events
    •    Supervise student assistants
    •    In coordination with SCM Office Manager, provide reception and customer service for department office
    •    Assist with technology and A/V needed
    •    Provide backup support to search committees and assistance with onboarding process for new faculty and staff
 



Qualifications
Qualifications:
 
Required Qualifications and Experience: 

    •    High School diploma or GED
    •    Two years of progressively responsible experience in a professional office setting

Desired Qualifications and Experience: 
    •    Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    •    Experience in a higher education setting
    •    Experience in accounting or bookkeeping
    •    Supervisory experience


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:
    •    Knowledge of fiscal and human resources policy and procedures
    •    Excellent customer service and communication skills
    •    Advanced Microsoft Office skills
    •    Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community
    •    Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
    •    Ability to use tact, discretion, and confidentiality
