Job Summary

Provide liaison services between functional user and technical systems groups in the development or modification of information systems. Participate in the definition of user business requirements and monitors related application implementation. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: assigned user group management and staff, technical project management and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: N/A. This position will supervise: N/A.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Document and analyze user business processes and requirements.

Job Duty 2 -
Participate in development of specifications and test plans associated with system development or modification.

Job Duty 3 -
Confer with and provide support to technical group in systems development.

Job Duty 4 -
Conduct testing of new or modified systems.

Job Duty 5 -
Facilitate communications between user and technical group.

Job Duty 6 -
Prepare reports and other documentation related to system assignments.

Job Duty 7 -
Provide ongoing user support including troubleshooting of system issues.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or IT related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED SKILLS:

    Prefer candidate with some knowledge and understanding of Workday Financial Accounting, Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM), Financial Reporting, Help Desk Support and User Acceptance Testing. Prefer a candiadte with Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.Prefer a candidate with experience in accounting or business in a college/university environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires a basic knowledge of standard documentation processes, business system architecture and associated technologies. Skills in data organization and analysis, problem solving, systems documentation and report writing as applied within assigned system(s) is required as are skills in cross communication between functional user and technical groups.

Other Information

Other expected job duties include:

    Serve as a member of a cross-functional team for the Workday Financials system supporting Financial Accounting and the Foundation Data Model (FDM). Serve as the primary analyst for daily helpdesk support. Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of daily ledger transactions to ensure data integrity.Provide ongoing user support and resolution for system, application and/or data issues. Troubleshoot and resolve financial system problems and issues. Serve as primary contact for troubleshooting and correcting integration processing errors.Assist with development and maintenance of specifications associated with system or application function, development, implementation and/or modification. Assist in analyzing and documenting financial business processes, conducting business requirements analysis, creating functional specification documents, configuring system setup tasks, developing test plans and conducting test procedures and troubleshooting and resolving financial systems issues.Coordinate month end and year-end closeout calendars and activities for Workday Financials and assist with monthly financial reporting to Board of Regents.Train users on Workday functionality and assist with coordinating training material.Perform other duties as assigned.
