Job Summary:The Maintenance Assistant position will assist full-time Maintenance Technicians in performing routine maintenance work.
Reports To:Joel Mueller, Maintenance Supervisor
Education/Qualifications:• Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
• Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
• Sheridan College Student currently enrolled in the dental hygiene program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Understanding of basic maintenance including but no limit to, drywall repair, painting, basic plumbing, and proper tool usage.
• Basic Computer skills
• Ability to organize work tasks and work independently if needed
• Establish a safe working environment
• Ability to relate to others in a safe and positive manner
• Wear proper attire for safety and appearance
• Strong communication skills

Responsibility/Duty:Under a Maintenance Technician supervision, Maintenance Assistant will assist with handling basic repairs and maintenance on campus. This includes, but not limited to basic cleaning and organization of parts/inventory and facility areas.
