Job Summary:

Help the instructor in the lab with small projects and cutting metal.

Reports To:

Troy Miller, GC - Welding Instructor

Education/Qualifications:

•Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
•Gillette College Student currently enrolled
•Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

•Check stock of metal bins in the lab and restock as necessary
•Setup and breakdown process demonstration stations
•Sort scrap metal bins and recycle any reusable material
•Manage tools provided to students
•Monitor and report on inventory levels of instructional supplies and tools housed in the lab
•Check and maintain proper water level in quench tanks
•Replace welding gas cylinders when necessary
•You will learn how to weld and how to fabricate projects for the lab.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Working condition will be in the welding lab. You will have to be able to lift 60 pounds.
