Job Summary:

The Director is to direct, coordinate and advocate for the activities at the Sheridan College in Johnson County (SCJC) Satellite Center. Additionally, to assist in the promotion of partnerships within and among the community in Johnson County as it relates to the advancement of education, training and leadership. This position is to ensure compliance of practices and consistent/proactive communication of activities at the SCJC Satellite Center with the practices of NWCCD under its leadership structure. The position will spend majority of their time in Buffalo and Kaycee.

Education/Qualifications:

•Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

•Knowledge of educational systems, processes and culture.
•Knowledge of the Johnson County community.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Skill in working with people of differing points of view.
•Computer skills.
•Ability to both follow leadership and innovate independently.
•A passion for small community education and community development.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

•Office environment with computer, telephone, and photocopy machine.
•Automobile for local travel and meetings within Johnson, Sheridan and Campbell County.
•Ability to be able to drive an automobile independently.

Coordinate the scheduling of classes and programs in Johnson County, including Dual and Concurrent registrations

Promote, advocate, innovate and grow educational and training opportunities for the individuals within the Johnson County community. Working closely with NWCCD Student Affairs and Academic staff members to appropriately advise students and help facilitate each students’ educational pathway.

With academic assistance, provide immediate support and supervision of faculty in Johnson County.

Enhancing the partnership between the SCJC satellite center and Johnson County School District, developing programs that serve the college’s mission and the communities in Johnson County
