Summary of Duties:
Under general supervision, serves as a skilled human resource professional performing human resource analyst duties related to HRS Disability Services programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing activities supporting the following programs: reasonable accommodation, medical leave, workers’ compensation, shared leave, long term disability claims, Alcohol and drug testing programs. Plans and carries out established work duties independently and with general supervision, utilizing knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
The position requires frequent contact with employees, management, department administrators, program vendors, and state entities. The incumbent is responsible for prioritizing and managing issues within designated areas of responsibility. Maintains and ensures a confidential environment at all times.
A Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related area and two (2) years of demonstrated knowledge of general human resource practices. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies, and procedures.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Demonstrated ability to interact with large groups and individuals at all work levels.
Human resource experience in a higher education setting.
