Job Description:
TCS Education System is currently seeking a Developer Intern to join the IT Applications department within the organization.
The Developer Intern plans, designs, tests and deploys web applications as a member of the IT Development Team. They will work with stakeholders to identify needs, outline technical specifications while applying analytical and development skills to customize and enhance existing applications. They are responsible for proofing and testing all code to assure quality. They will work with analysts and key operational staff to deliver key projects.
Position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develop software programs to enhance or customize business applications. Review current systems and code. Work closely with analysts and staff to deliver projects. Produce documentation on all programs and code. Perform full testing on all software.
Position Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle
- 1-2 years of programming experience
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Strong understanding of technical support processes and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office 365 platform a plus
- Experience with SQL a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
Position Qualifications:
- At least currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program for related field.
- Strong proficiency of object oriented programming (i.e. Java, C#, Python)
- Knowledge of JavaScipt, HTML, CSS and graphic design a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
