Job Summary:

Assists in the administration and management of all operational and programming aspects of the intramural sports program, including officials training, scheduling, risk management planning, assisting with informal recreation and special events.

Duties/Physical Demands:

• Assist with the recruiting, training, evaluating, and supervision of all student officials
• Coordinate and supervise evening and weekend programs and special events
• Manage Phillips Hall facility supervision and reporting on facility needs
• Assist with functional and administrative responsibility of the Intramural Supervisor staff, and special events
• Coordinate internal customer service and assist with program marketing plans
• Maintains supervisor, officials, and risk management manuals and rule books
• Assist with supervision, training, and evaluation of intramural supervisors
• Assist with daily operations and supervision of youth activities, i.e. summer camps and gymnastics program.
• Track and analyze team and individual participation counts
• The work schedule is 40 hours a week and will include mostly evenings and weekends
• Assist with staffing of special weekend reservations
• Assists in purchasing and maintaining inventories of program equipment and supplies
• Assist with instruction of KNH/LLC courses
• Assist with club sports program
• Follow all departmental and program policies
• Manage social media marketing plans

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• CPR and First Aid certification or at the time employment begins

Desired Qualifications:

• Sports playing and officiating experience
• Youth sports experience
• Experience teaching sport skills
