POSITION SUMMARY
Indiana Wesleyan University’s Upward Bound (IWU-UB), is a federally funded program designed to provide potential first-generation and/or low-income students in Marion and Mississinewa High Schools with the academic skills and motivation necessary to succeed in their pre-college studies. The Upward Bound Office Manager is a motivated team-player responsible for the coordination and support of the general day to day administrative, clerical and operational tasks related to the Indiana Wesleyan’s Upward Bound (IWU-UB) program.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the Director of Upward Bound.

QUALIFICATIONSAccording to Indiana Wesleyan University’s employment policy, all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education· Associate’s Degree
Experience· Minimum of three years of closely related work experience or a combination of closely related work experience and completion of a relevant educational degree equal to six years is required.· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with historically minoritized individuals.
Required Skills· Communication – able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job.· Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization.· Adaptable – ability to be flexible and supportive, to positively and proactively embrace change in rapid growth environment.· Relationship Management – able to personally provide high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.· Systems & Software – proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.· Independent work – able to work independently with limited supervision and able to self-motivate· Multi-task – Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response.
