Position Summary:This Research Project Manager for New Projects and Research Infrastructure position ensures that each site affiliated with the UNC Global Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Group is properly staffed, has sufficient supplies and adheres to federal, sponsor, university and unit and Guidelines while conducting clinical Research and associated clinical assessment/care for the prevention and treatment of Infectious Diseases. The number of sites at which the Clinical Research Group conducts clinical trials has increase exponentially. This position will be responsible for assessing feasibility of new projects at all affiliated research sites and will formulate clinical research support plans to maximize efficiency of licensed research staff.
Educational Requirements:Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required; for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.
Qualifications and Experience:Must have at least 5 years of clinical research experience.
Must have a strong track record of independent management of research studies and staff.
Must possess excellent writing and communication skills.
