Position Summary:

The Division of Hematology at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for an Assistant Professor on the fixed term track. Duties include, but are not limited to, studies on the mechanisms of cancer-associated thrombosis using human plasma samples and mouse models.

Educational Requirements:

PhD is required.

Qualifications and Experience:

The candidate should have an extensive knowledge and publications in the area of hemostasis and thrombosis. In particular, the candidate should have a track record of publications in the field of cancer-associated thrombosis. These should include human studies measuring biomarkers in plasma and their association with venous thromboembolism. In addition, the candidate should have publication on mechanistic studies and different pathways that enhance thrombosis in mouse cancer models.
