NoDuties and Responsibilities:
•Supports the financial management of the Clinical Research Office (CRO), Sponsored Clinical Research (SCR) and its cores.
•Provides administrative support: schedule and complete meeting minutes for business operations meetings, order supplies, handles Clinical Research Office requests and maintains timely department correspondents.
•Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, authorizes all department expenditures including check requisitions and staff expense reimbursements.
•Maintains accurate filing system and records for the Clinical Research Office, its cores, and sponsored accounting units.
•Monitors all accounting reports and documents, performs financial analysis and serves a fiscal liaison to various university departments for CRO matters.
•Prepares adhoc financial reports as required.
•Reviews sponsored clinical research contracts for invoicing and billing terms specific to each study.
•Cross-references the budget with the contract, payment terms, coverage analysis and informed consent to ensure accurate and appropriate payments.
•Prepares monthly billing for Central Sponsored Clinical Research account.
•Prepares accurate and timely billing of trials to research sponsors.
•Provides oversight to ensure timely payments to LUMC patient and non-patient accounts and payments to research participants.
•Reviews medical center study invoices to ensure appropriate expenses per the coverage analysis, schedule of events, budget, and contract.
•Facilitates post-award financial management in collaboration with Sponsored Program Account, Purchasing, and Accounts Payables which consists of completing spending projections, cost allocations, cost reconciliations, invoice preparation, check requisitions, and account closing processes per University and Federal guidelines.
•Meets with research personnel in a collaborative effort to identify and quantify pertinent information impacting clinical trial finances and ensure overall Federal compliance in the budgeting process.
•Serves as the primary resource on the business aspects of clinical research.
•Performs other duties as required.
Bachelor’s Degree supplemented with 5 years of previous job-related experience.Qualifications:
